title Jill Bolte Taylor: My stroke of insight
description Horray! I've been waiting for this since I found out she'd be at TED, and I'm not disappointed. Jill Bolte Taylor is a neuroscientist who had a stroke, recovered creatively by making stained glass brains, gained insights on emotions and time and wrote a terrific memoir about it all. At TED she shares lessons learned through her altered perceptions (most importantly, being in the moment). This is a great, inspiring talk that received a standing ovation.

But how do you choose the right hemisphere? I want to, but it's so hard. Aren't we destined to struggle between the two?
Guess I should read the memoir.
Absolutely fascinating. It's like Buddhism meets Science. Informative yet moving.
